This position is a 10 week internship program that will start June 5th through August 11th. This will be a remote opportunity.
UX Data Science/Analyst Intern Job Description
Design Research activities at Pitney Bowers unearth latent user needs and behaviors, uncover innovation opportunities, and both guide and inspire teams with compelling actionable insights.
Your will learn and support the following activities:
- Plan, organize, implement, coordinate, and communicate client/user research data analysis to inform product development activities and guide teams
- Determine the most appropriate data analysis methodology for the challenge at hand and, wherever necessary, create new approaches.
- Uncover deep insights by analyzing and synthesizing data from different sources for e.g Google Analysis, BI, Tableau, Pendo, Fullstory, Hotjar, Structured and unstructured data and translate them into useful communication artifacts that yield actionable outcomes to directly impact innovation efforts
- Communicate analysis outcomes in ways that can be consumed coherently by design, marketing, and engineering teams
- Run and setup A/B tests and experimentations
- Conduct user journey and funnel analysis
- Conduct segmentation and cohort analysis
Requirements
- Actively pursuing a degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Data Science, or related field is required.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and proven ability to collaborate
- Advanced data analysis using Excel, Microsoft BI, Tableau or other open-source tools
- Ability to write or format SQL and work with large and complex data sets
- Understanding of statistical concepts
- Effective data visualization theory and practice
