Position: Data Engineer Intern
Job Description: We are looking for a motivated and talented Data Engineer Intern to join our team. As a Data Engineer Intern at Plainsurf Solutions, you will gain hands-on experience with big data technologies, data warehousing, and cloud computing tools. You will work alongside our experienced data engineers to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems. Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using big data technologies like Apache Spark and AWS Glue.
- Support the development and maintenance of data warehousing solutions, including AWS Redshift.
- Collaborate with the team to manage data using cloud computing tools such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Write efficient and maintainable code in Python, utilizing libraries such as pandas, Scikit-Learn, and Matplotlib.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to manage and manipulate data.
- Contribute to data streaming and processing projects using Apache Kafka.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Technical Skills Required:
- Big Data Technologies:
- Proficiency in tools like Apache Spark, AWS Glue, and Redshift.
- Data Warehousing:
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Cloud Computing Tools:
- Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure to manage data.
- Programming:
- Proficiency in Python with experience in libraries such as pandas, Scikit-Learn, and Matplotlib.
- Database Systems:
- Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases for managing data.
- Data Processing Frameworks:
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka for data streaming and processing.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
