The Data Engineer handles moderately complex issues and problems. Applies practical knowledge of principles and practices of area of specialty. Supports, but also leads simple to moderately complex projects and programs to support the Data Science Team
Primary point of responsibility for the deployment, management and monitoring of data products, data and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Leaning (AI/ML) models, and processes. Also responsible for ensuring the data pipelines and model ops supporting those products and processes undergo constant quality checks to ensure validity of the end product. Additionally responsible for creating/maintaining the Single Source of Truth (SST) data model to support products, models, and processes. Provides expertise in the design, development, and support of the applications and/or improving existing applications.
- 2-5 years’ of professional work experience minimum
- Full Stack development with .Net, C#, SQL, ETL tools, ASP .Net, jQuery, JavaScript and MVC 4 or higher
- Experience with Data Extraction, transformation and loading of data to create a pipeline for machine learning solutions for the Data Science team
- Familiar with the fundamental techniques of Machine Learning
- Comprehensive level aptitude and advanced knowledge of database technologies, automation and cloud technologies
- Working knowledge of fundamental tools of software engineering such as version control, unit testing, containerization, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Ability to work with the concepts of data ingestion, profiling, warehousing, processing, storage, and quality
- Working knowledge with the concepts of Data Visualization, metrics and analytics
- Working knowledge of networking concepts and system integration
- Familiarity with the concepts of cloud services (Azure/Amazon/Google)
- Working knowledge of programing languages as SQL/Python/Java/R along with other object-oriented concepts
- BA/BS in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or quantitative field
- Creates high quality data sets to serve as the source of truth for various fundamental processes
- Ensures data integrity by leveraging proven methodologies, including data reconciliation and data integration
- Creates blueprint for data to integrate, centralize and maintain the data sources
- Creates scalable and flexible environments for Data pipeline & Model pipeline, from design to development and monitoring
- Implements, verifies, designs, and maintains software solutions to support integration of models into customer ecosystem
- Integrates Artificial Intelligence/Machine Leaning models in the Company’s applications and systems
- Develops solutions based on the Machine Leaning architect’s blueprints, selecting and building necessary tools and implementing risk mitigation strategies
- Assures compliance with regulatory and privacy requirements during design and implementation of pipelining and analysis projects.
- Continues to grow and learn both from other engineers and self-led education in the adoption of emerging technologies
- Works with more senior level team members to develop integration/pipelining requests
- Documenting all data and processes the department develops or utilizes
