Position Overview:
Pratt & Whitney’s Digital Technology – Global Infrastructure Services Project Management Office is currently searching for a Power BI developer with experience in Project Management and Infrastructure Services. Delivers actionable insights by leveraging available data and applying domain expertise. Collaborates with key stakeholders to identify business requirements, cleans, and transforms the data, and then designs and builds data models by using Power BI. Provides meaningful business value through easy-to-comprehend data visualizations, enables others to perform self-service analytics, and deploys and configures solutions for consumption.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- You will be responsible for helping to build SQL & Power BI based automated solutions for business dashboards, metrics, and reporting.
- Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
- Provides expertise to improve business strategy, internal processes, and program performance.
- Develop advanced analysis to yield actionable insights, identify of trends, measure performance, and visualize disparate sources of data.
- Conducts analysis on complex program performance and risks, research discrepancies, and prepares management reports and briefings.
- Actively contribute to the deployment of value-added analytics tools & methodologies.
- Support systemic IT system, gap analysis and process improvements that will result in improved capture integrity, accuracy, volume of data or a reduction/optimization of analysis.
- Should be able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, Networking, Business Analytics, Engineering, or Business Management with 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Expert level skill in Dashboard UX design and visualizations (layouts, integrating maps, color schemes, etc.).
- Experience architecting and implementing Dashboard visualizations in a high-volume data environment.
- Possess strong background in Data Analytics.
- Experience in a Data Warehouse environment reporting on dimensions/hierarchies.
- Experience in creating repeatable analysis/reporting and related standard work.
- Demonstrated agile mindset and proven history of working within an agile program.
- Work closely with portfolio leads to monitor health and success of infrastructure projects.
- Experience developing solutions that span multiple Office365 services (e.g., SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, MSSQL, One Drive, etc.).
- US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert level skill in using SQL (SSMS & SSRS) / Python & Power BI.
- SQL, Python, Domo, Tableau, or Power BI certifications.
- Fast learner and ability to quickly adapt to new tools.
- Strong team player with good interpersonal and written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Work with finance lead to monitor program financial health and coordinate reporting on financial metrics.
- Knowledge and experience working in Agile / Scrum teams, including daily standups, retrospectives, demos/reviews.
- Experience developing and monitor metrics, budgets, and customer needs.
