Department Overview
The DT Engine Center Ops team at Pratt and Whitney is looking for a highly motivated, Systems Analyst who will be excited in delivering digital solutions to our assembly floors leveraging PW’s enterprise platform as it relates to supporting our manufacturing sites and engine centers worldwide. Specific focus includes assembly planning and manufacturing execution, as well as integration to Pratt and Whitney’s SAP ERP. Current strategic activities include supporting the roadmap for digital capabilities, including MES deploying next-gen solutions, leading Delivery Assurance strategies, new site implementations, and integrating with new technologies for visual factory and Industry 4.0.
This individual will be involved in the delivery of designing, developing, enhancing, and implementing software solutions within Pratt & Whitney’s enterprise platform. Solutions will span across functional organizations and technologies. This role will support delivering on roadmap items for PW’s Engine Centers, also troubleshoot problems related to software applications, resolving systems integration and compatibility issues, and managing software testing lifecycle, including the development/creation of test scripts. The position is based remotely and up to 10% domestic/international travel may be required. Due to customer locations in different time zones, customer meetings can occur outside normal business work hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Bridging gaps between business processes and current systems
- Translating customer requirements into a solution design
- Technical and functional problem solving
- Leading & defining DevOps management related to QA testing
- Production and end user support for our applications
- Supporting integration with other enterprise solutions
- Working with internal customers and external suppliers, business partners, to architect and build system solutions for using the latest technologies to satisfy requirements
- Managing suppliers and partners to schedule
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously with regular reporting in a gated process
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Author system functional requirements, technical design documentation and test plans
- Work with business teams to plan and implement projects
- Technical skills of understanding/interpreting JAVA programming language
- Technical skills of SQL products
- Ensuring compliance with RTX / PW policies & procedures
Basic Qualifications
- BS degree required: Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or related degree. with 1+ of years of relevant experience
US Citizen required due to government contracts- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Fluent in English (verbal/written)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5+ years’ experience in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 1-3+ years’ experience with MES disciplines including, but not limited to, process planning and execution
- Knowledge of other manufacturing solutions is a plus, but not required
- Prior experience in software development (ABAP, JAVA, .NET, SQL, etc…) is a plus, although development is not a primary responsibility
- Team player with strong follow up skills and ability to craft positive relationships
- Detail oriented, analytical and able to trace problems
- Strong communication skills
- Relishes orchestrating and organizing initiatives and processes
- Excellent judgment and professional business maturity
- Strong working knowledge Microsoft Office
- Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement
