The job
As a Research Support Analyst (RSA), you will support and contribute to various aspects of research team functions, including data gathering, data entry, market research, manager due diligence and monitoring, mission-aligned investments, educational material, and research projects. This role is collaborative across asset classes, but will primarily focus on private equity (buyouts, growth equity, venture etc.) with the opportunity to interact with all departments. The right candidate will have the potential to take on increasing levels of responsibility with experience.
What you’ll do
- Interact professionally with managers, third-party service providers, and research team members to gather, enter, and analyze data.
- Review and extract relevant information from manager presentations, due diligence questionnaires, private placement memorandums, and external databases.
- Assist in the manager due diligence and monitoring processes, screening databases for managers, entering and reviewing performance and portfolio characteristics, periodically participating in manager calls/meetings and write summaries, and performing other related activities at the direction of research team members
- Create and run manager searches
- Assist in the preparation of asset class committee minutes, reports, and meeting materials
- Run, create, and distribute performance, market, and economic reports from FactSet, Tableau, Refintiv, Pitchbook, etc.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or business-related field (preferred but not required)
- Willingness to pursue CFA, CAIA and/or master’s degree over time
- One-to-two years of investment experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline-oriented office environment
- Experience using systems such as QuickBase, Tableau, InvestmentMetrics, FactSet, and/or Refintiv preferred
- Willingness to periodically travel between offices, to conferences, manager meetings, etc.
