Description
Providence is calling an Associate Healthcare Data Analyst who will:
- Identify, design, recommend, and execute analytical solutions using analytic tools and provide follow-up consultation
- Assist in healthcare quality improvement efforts and financial analysis
- Under minimal supervision, analyze healthcare data on a book of business
- Provide essential data support and coordination activities for various business critical analysis and reporting needs
- Develop processes, write programs and/or create databases using analytic tools to produce accurate and timely completion of analytic solutions
- Assist in identifying issues or problems in carrying out performance measurement initiative protocols and recommends changes to streamline and improve the quality of data management and collection
- Partner with peers to establish, evaluate, and continually improve measurement methodologies, while adhering to nationally accepted analytic and reporting standards.
- Facilitateroutine and ad-hoc information requests by running pre-programmed SQL scripts and macros and by creating queries/reports through the appropriate programs
We welcome 100% remote work for residents of SW Washington and Oregon.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Interpret, communicate, and present results to customers in a consistent and easy to understand format that facilitates fact-based decision making
- Assists with quality assurance adherence to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of project-related information data resources and reporting initiatives
- Compiles and prepares data for analysis and reporting purposes
- Collects, integrates, and validates diverse data sets
- Assists in the development of data collection tools
- Ensures that inquiries that require a general understanding of the work area policies and procedures are resolved, and that others are brought to the attention of the appropriate person
- Researches and gathers information for projects assigned
- Updates manuals and procedures for own area
- Pursue expansion of current knowledge and skills
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a highly quantitative field (e.g. statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, economics, engineering/physics, accounting, or computer science) and a minimum of 3 years of related experience -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- SQL experience
- Healthcare organization health insurer experience
