- Applying analytical creativity to solving problems using data, and for building production quality, scalable tech, and platforms to support these solutions. Analytical tools may include (but are not necessarily limited to) statistical analysis and modeling, machine/deep learning, process optimization/automation, natural language processing, image recognition, forecasting, and geospatial analytics.
- Understand the business reality and discover actionable insights from large volumes of data.
- Innovate by adapting new modeling techniques and procedures. Use code (Python, SQL, Spark etc.) to analyze data and build statistical and machine learning models and algorithms.
- Creating forecasting and machine learning models and enabling business analysts, product managers, and data engineers in deriving insights.
- Showing an ever-learning mindset to strengthen understanding of global health care systems
- Building deep partnerships across multiple teams globally and in the industry. Working collaboratively with colleagues within and stakeholders in the business to scope, architect, and develop math-powered technology solutions to business-critical problems.
- Mentoring new team members or others in the organization interested in learning analytics
- Engaging with the key stakeholders and influencing decisions related to product goals, features, and priorities.
- 8 years + industry experience with an educational background in Bachelor’s/Masterโs Degree: Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Analytics, Biology, or other science, math, and technology-intensive field.
- Should possess strong math, technology, business, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Python and Spark. R also is a strong plus. Demonstrated expertise in Machine Learning via Python (and ideally R) and Spark.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in several of the following areas: machine learning, statistics, NLP, deep learning, and recommendation systems.
- Conducts diverse statistical analyses of complex, high-dimensional datasets and prepares reports and visualizations to support findings.
- Develops & deploys machine learning models using modern, open-source tools and frameworks.
- Must have demonstrably strong interpersonal and communication skills.
