Description

Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Manager Analytics Business Intelligence to work remotely within our footprint states: AK, CA, MT, OR, TX and/or WA.

This position is responsible for leading the Analytics Products Revenue Cycle team focused on delivery and health of analytics-focused products. This position is seen as an accountable lead for analytics products published by the team. This position is responsible for the development, integrity and maintenance of: dashboards, reports, models, extracts, and routine data-related deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages a team of analysts, developers and designers. Provides mentoring and oversight. Responsibilities include recruitment, performance management, and ongoing professional development. Excels as an accountable lead, and managing resources designated as accountable leads. Ensures staff conduct their work commensurate to their roles, provides opportunities to stretch and grow, and counsels under performing resources according to PSJH guidelines.
  • Ensures effective product documentation including requirements, data dictionaries, technical specifications, meta data, and user guides as outlined in departmental guidelines. Proactively pursues remediation of analytics products affected by impending upstream changes, system transitions/migrations, technology platform updates and other environmental events that would adversely affect published products.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, inter-team leaders and system/regional analytic leaders.
  • Partners closely with HI, IT and other key areas of dependence and interaction. bi-directional collaboration.
  • Partners closely with customers and stakeholders to implement dashboards, analytics solutions, etc. in support of stakeholder needs. Collaborates with Project Managers as needed to ensure timely delivery of promised products.
  • Partners with the RCS Data Insight leadership and designees in the development and maintenance of a outstanding analytics deliverables.
  • Partner with system and regional analytic, data, and technology teams to ensure products are properly sourced, secure and accessible. Ensures products are delivered according to department guidelines.
  • Collaborates with system level analytic and data departments to avoid duplication of development offerings, and guiding caregivers to the most appropriate PSJH analytic resource to meet their needs.
  • Excels in enabling resources to deliver high volumes of quality analytics products within compressed deadlines. Has a keen eye for talent and ensures cross-training and bench strength contingencies.
  • Provides effective and intuitive status of workload (inventory, in-flight, break-fix, etc.) to relevant parties for review and prioritization. Ensures blocks to delivery are properly communicated/escalated.
  • Serves as key member of RCS Data Insights leadership and works to help ensure departmental alignment to RCS functions, initiatives, leaders and corresponding stakeholders.
  • Manages confidential and time sensitive information with integrity. Serves as a trusted advisor to regional and service area leaders to deliver analytics products required for critical decision-making on high priority programs and initiatives.
  • Shares best practices with other members of the RCS Data Insights team as a way of improving upon the collective development of team members.
  • Proactively identify issues that may impact the successful execution of key initiatives, strategies, or program plans, and escalate issues that arise.
  • Performs special projects as needed.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of progressively increasing responsibility in management level with experience with report/dashboard delivery, business intelligence, analytics
  • 4 years of hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent platform
  • Data Science, Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, or related discipline.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, or related discipline.
  • Upon hire: Epic Certifications
  • 3 years of revenue Cycle experience highly preferred
  • 5 years of Project management, change management, facilitation, business transformation, and process improvement methodologies
