The Team
The Group Insurance Business Analytics & Insights (BA&I) team harnesses the power of data to generate analytics and insights to inform decision making, measure business health, and prescribe data-driven actions aligned to the overall business strategy.
The Role
The team is seeking a Data Analyst to compile and deliver the Broker reporting to the business as well as support the Strategic Partners team. We’re seeking a candidate that will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong technical, organizational, communication skills, and a very results-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities will include the coordination and delivery of monthly/quarterly/annual reporting to functional areas, specifically the Distribution business and Compensation partners. In this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to re-imagine and re-engineer the process used to create these deliverables utilizing current BI tools, such as Python and Tableau, developing new and revised processes and procedures for the assigned responsibilities. You will be working with internal customers to generate solutions to business needs and then develop alternatives that will deliver unique and insightful solutions. This position offers exposure to a broad array of cross-functional business stakeholders within Group Insurance along with the opportunity to learn about data, reporting and analytics tools and methodologies.
This is not an IT role; this is a role within the business.
Your Expertise – What you’ll need to succeed:
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year experience with reporting and data practices to enable reporting and analysis
- Expert level Excel and Access capability to unwind legacy databases
- Tableau experience with developing and delivering visualizations
- Python proficiency in sourcing data and creating automation and controls required.
- Proven experience in data aggregation, dashboard development, data analysis and project management
Desired Skills
- Experience in the group benefits industry
- Experience with or knowledge of the broker/producer community
- Previous exposure to SalesForce
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Consultative analysis, with proven track record of using data to answer strategic business questions
- Strong collaboration, communication, and follow-up skills
- Ability to function both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast paced and varied environment
- Continuous learner regarding reporting and analytic tools and methodologies as well as being a technical mentor to others
- Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident.
Salary range specific to Colorado : $87,500 – $118,300 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
