Our Business or Function:
The U.S. Finance & Analytics (USFA) team is responsible for centralized Planning & Analysis for all U.S. Businesses at Prudential Financial, which include Retirement Strategies, Group Insurance, Individual Life and PGIM. The purpose of the USFA team is to provide insight into financial performance and drivers and support decision making at the Business Unit as well as Corporate level. USFA is responsible for financial analysis and the production of management reporting materials and analytics for both forecast and actual earnings results.
Role:
The USFA team supporting PGIM, the global investment management business of Prudential Financial, currently has an opening for an Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). You will be responsible for management reporting of PGIMโs financial results with primary focus on forecast results. You will support senior management within PGIM and Prudential, as well as other business partners, in forecasting the income statement and measuring and evaluating PGIMโs financial performance in the context of market trends and internal strategy. This role focuses heavily on data analytics supporting the creation of PGIMโs earnings โstoryโ, including analysis of key business drivers, assessment of opportunities and risks, and evaluation of strategic initiatives.

You will report to the Manager, PGIM Financial Planning & Analysis within U.S. Finance & Analytics. This role is based in Newark, NJ and offers a hybrid work arrangement.
Your Impact:
โข Support the forecasting of multi-year financial results and produce insightful analytics
โข Analyze sources of earnings and communicate PGIMโs earnings โstoryโ
โข Prepare presentations for PGIM and Prudential leaders, highlighting financial results in the context of market trends and key business drivers
โข Develop enhancements and efficiencies to key processes and workflows
โข Support of strategic initiatives and other ad hoc projects
โข Partner with internal business and corporate areas including but not limited to Controllership, Strategy, Risk, Investor Relations and GAAP Reporting as well as the individual PGIM asset management units.
Your Required Skills:
โข Bachelorโs degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
โข 2-4 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, financial reporting, expense management, or other related experience
โข Agile and organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands
โข Ability to understand business fundamentals and business strategy
โข Excellent verbal and written communication skills
โข Strong ability to develop insightful presentations
โข Ability to work across teams and collaborate with others to drive execution
โข Ability to identify opportunities to better leverage existing and emerging technologies to complete tasks more efficiently and effectively
โข Ability to analyze data
โข Proficiency in Excel
Your Desired Skills:
โข Advanced degree and/or relevant certification (MBA, CPA, or CFA) is a plus
โข Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus
