Pumpkin is looking for a business-minded data engineer capable of acting as the primary owner of and advocate for all data going into and coming out of the product. They will give lift to the business as they ensure it can confidently make decisions around data. The role will help contextualize that data across different business functions.
This will be a hybrid position, with a requirement of 2 days a week in the Columbus, Ohio office.
What You’ll Do
- Work with product and marketing to build and maintain attribution flows
- Work with operations to get meaningful insights out of customer interactions
- Work with our claims and insurance teams to help deliver insights and products
- Work in the product’s backend to ETL and massage raw data into meaningful insights
- Build ad-hoc reporting for internal and external customers
- Build and troubleshoot data pipelines
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to communicate and contextualize data and insights across different business functions
- Comfortability with a cloud platform (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Proficiency in Python
- Proficiency with MySQL and PostgresSQL
- Comfortable with Statistics

- Familiarity or experience with light machine learning processes
