About the Role:
Are you experienced in transforming data into insights, that drive business processes? Are you skilled to create dashboards and reports? Are you able to analyze available data, understand business requirements and create dashboards and reports? Are you self-driven, organized, with excellent communication skills? As Data & Dashboard Engineer / Analyst you will work closely and interactively with business owners to understand their needs in reporting on and improving business processes, tap into available data, transform and analyze the data, write and enhance software to produce dashboards, reports and insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create software solutions that helps with management of business processes, to understand key metrics, possible improvements, bottlenecks and service levels
• Analyze available data and, as needed, collect, transform or request additional data
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools
  • Mostly using ready-made analytics and visualization tools
  • Requires understanding of data, queries, charts, visualizations
  • Using Google Data Studio and SQL-like queries, Google PLX, Apps Script
  • Analyze what data and insights can be most useful for improving the existing processes and for supporting the decision making, as well as what processes most benefit from automation; prioritize those tasks and get stakeholder buy-in for the prioritization; then add the tasks to the implementation backlog and develop the corresponding data tables and reports

Required Skills:

• Hands-on software development capabilities, preferably with scripting languages, to build dashboards and reports
• Strong command of SQL (or PLX)
• Solid understanding of databases
• Experience to take inputs from business stakeholders with certain outcomes and requirements, and to translate those into technical requirements
• Outstanding communication, self-leadership and self-organization skills
• Quality orientation and attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Software/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or comparable relevant experience

Preferred (Optional) Skills:

• Understanding of GSuite – Google Doc, Sheets, Appscript, Datastudio etc
• Programming experience in other languages such as JavaScript or Python
• PLX experience
• Experience with database queries, data warehouses, database design, related optimizations
• QA skills in testing, scripting and test automation
