IT Business / Business Intelligence Analyst (M4/M5)
Job Purpose
The DW/Big Data Business/Business Intelligence shall take the lead to understand and analyze the requirement, contribute in framing a system or a reporting solution, Create test scenarios and assist the test lead in testing and validating the data warehouse and big data solution. He /She shall take ownership of the requirements to take it to a Closure.
Description of Duties and Tasks
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Skills Required
- Ability to Understand the Requirements, Do Requirement analysis, refine the requirements and create requirement documentation that includes sourcing strategy, mapping, store and migration policies etc.
- Define and/or Contribute to creating an acceptable solution.
- Ability to convert business use cases into dashboards, tables, charts and graphs. Should be able to create reports from scratch and complete assignment on individual capacity.
- Identify, explain and document Risks to stakeholders.
- Ability to provide requirement Understanding to the Vendor.
- Ability to figure out gaps in the vendor understanding.
- Ability to undertake or contribute to multiple project at the same time.
- Ability to understand Business Logic in the SQL Procedures and explain the logic.
- Ability to Frame Test Scenarios/Test Cases based on business requirements/functional specifications and undertake UAT. Ability to under root cause analysis on individual capacity.
- Communicate and inform Stakeholders on a periodic basis. Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders at one time.
- Any other Administrative duties as assigned wrt Project.
Knowledge Required
- Strong Domain knowledge in Retail banking, presenting working in the capacity of SME or can grow in near future to become SME.
- Should have experience in writing complex SQL queries and data analysis
- Should have worked extensively on reporting/dash boarding in banking environment.
- Proficient in at least one of SAP BO/PowerBI/Tableau
- One of AI/ML tools like SAS/R/Python good to have.
- Hands-on experience in creating Requirement documents
- Should be able to prepare Power Point Presentation.
- Good understanding of Data Warehousing and big data concepts and dimension modeling
Work Experience
Required
- 7-11 years of work experience as BA/Analyst in Banking Environment.
- Good understanding of software delivery frameworks
- Should be a team player and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills
Education
Required
- Bachelor’s degree, MCA or equivalent. MBA preferable.
Preferred
- Certification in relevant technologies
