Job Summary:
Reviews BI development requests from the product team to design detailed, comprehensive and wellstructured test plans and test cases. The QA Engineer will implement the test plan with QA technicians to ensure the product is accurate and meets the business needs. Ensures compliance with policies & procedures, safety, state and federal laws, regulations and standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter. • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documentation • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs • Preform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved • Document completed test plans and review with the product team • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements • Monitor debugging process results • Collaborate with data and analytics team members • Experience with Power BI, Azure DevOps and related technologies, a plus. • Evaluate report performance metrics • Other duties as assigned. Other Responsibilities: • Ability to cope with job related stress including but not limited to deadlines, customer, supervisory and staff interactions, multi-tasking and high work volumes is required • Completes various human resources, financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary • Follows established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and operational processes related to area(s) of responsibility and reporting violations or infractions to appropriate individual(s) • Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with Company, property, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards by immediately reporting any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, employee/visitor/resident injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to appropriate individual(s) • Identifies areas for improvement and offers suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity • Keeps abreast of current changes in technology, processes, and standards within the industry and area(s) of responsibility by attending internal and external training classes, research and/or subscribing to the internet or other professional publications, or utilizing other appropriate method(s) to obtain business and professional information, and applies knowledge and practices to area(s) of responsibility
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Knowledge working Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service and Workspaces, Power Query, DAX. • Knowledge working with SQL Server TSQL stored procedures. • Ability to familiarize on technical subjects & emerging technologies and their relevance to our marketplace • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to prepare and explain data and analytics to team members • Demonstrated proficiency in software such as, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs to develop and/or complete required reports • Ability to comprehend and analyze operational system questions and issues and determine best steps in rendering solutions.
