Job Overview/Purpose:
The Junior Data Engineer builds and maintains data systems. They construct datasets that are easy to analyze and support company requirements. Would further be responsible for developing reporting and analytical solutions for the organizations information consumers while applying business rules to the data. They work closely with product owners, users, architects, developers, and analysts in cross-functional teams to create and deliver innovative data solutions. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining datasets within a standardized framework that maximize the reliability, value and functionality of data assets. The Junior Data Engineer is also responsible for operational support of data solutions that have been moved to production.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Analyze and organize various kinds and sources of data

Build data systems, algorithms, prototypes, and dashboards that meet user requirements

Efficiently use pattern development to rapidly build reliable and easily maintained solutions

Conduct solution performance tuning, troubleshooting, support and capacity estimation

Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
-
Provide technical support for production reports including troubleshooting and configuration management
-
Protect the integrity and quality of data solutions while securing the organizations data assets in accordance to best practices and company policy

Identifies, quantifies, and proposes solutions to address data integrity and data quality issues, including performing source data analysis and data profiling to assess data quality

Complete all mandatory training within a timely basis, as instructed.

This position is subject to the terms of [RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the following salary range: [52,400.00 – 76,000.00 – 99,600.00 USD Annual]. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to [RDS] employee, including health care benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
