In order to continue our accelerated growth, we are waiting for an innovative engineer to become available instead of hiring the first available engineer who is waiting to become innovative. This listing is for a Junior DevOps Engineer for our team. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- On call support of production infrastructure and applications. Business hours support for development systems
- Scripting (BASH, Python) and building required automation and deployment tools.
- Support systems that have a web presence and maintain uptime.
- This position will be required to participate in a rotating on-call pool.
- Implement infrastructure and architectural designs with close collaboration with engineering teams.
- Implement security best practices for data at rest and data in motion.
- Identifying requirements and implementing tools that aid in faster deployment and better administration.
- Working with cloud architects and developers to create scalable architecture designs and debug problems.
- Ability to debug applications based on core dumps or exception stack traces.
- Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools and integrate them with application stack.
- Support development and testing environments on the cloud for customers.
- Creating knowledge articles and documentation to help internal teams and customers understand and leverage the systems capabilities.
- Learning on the job and exploring new technologies with little supervision.
Qualifications:
Mandatory skills:
- Hands-on experience with Linux commands
- Writing bash scripts
- In-depth knowledge of running/managing UNIX-like operating systems, we mostly work on Ubuntu and CentOS.
- Version control tool (git)
- Database Administration (MySQL, MongoDB)
- Scripting Language (Python)
Nice to have:
- Experience of working with Amazon Web Services/Azure/Google Cloud.
- Writing Ansible playbooks
Job type – Full time employment
Job location – Virar – Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
Work schedule – Monday to Friday, 10am to 7pm
Minimum qualification – Graduate
Year of experience – 1 to 3 Years
Travel opportunities – On need basis within/outside India. Candidate should have valid passport
