Job Description:
At Regions, the Information Technology Data Engineer is responsible for data and data application development, modification, and maintenance of data processes and supporting applications. Monitors system applications and ensures systems run smoothly. Creates reports and other documentation outlining findings/solutions and support users.
Primary Responsibilities
Develops, tests, and deploys data processes using a combination of custom and off-the-shelf tools
Works with architects, business users, project managers/Scrum Masters and other engineers to achieve sustainable solutions in a complex environment
Participates in code reviews, code quality checks and developer integration testing
Utilizes minimum requirements to analyze, design, develop, test data transformation solutions for Enterprise Data Warehouse system and performing extract, transform and load (ETL) solutions. Implement ETL solutions with Processing and Error Handling techniques
Monitors, troubleshoots, maintains and continuously improve existing data/ETL/testing applications
Identifies, documents and implements functional requirements
Follows set ETL performance standards
Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
Develops, implements and maintains the appropriate end to end transformation and load processes associated with Data Warehouse and Data Marts, including: Data Context, Data Mapping, testing, Quality, Metadata, Operations SLAs, Data Modeling and ETL
Documents designs, processes and procedures for installation and maintenance of ETL processes
Responsible for compliance
May act as a resource for associates with less experience
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
Six (6) years of relevant experience
Familiar with data wrangling concepts and a desire to learn these technologies: Oracle RDBMSSQL Server RDBMS, SSIS, SyncSort, Informatica and other ETL toolsets, PL/SQL, T-SQL, UNIX/LINUX & PERL
Skills and Competencies
Able to work within aggressive timelines
Beginner understanding of Agile development processes

Fundamental understanding in database and data warehousing concepts
Fundamental understanding of DevOps and SDLC processes
Good verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences

Understands test-driven development
Able to work within aggressive timelines

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the national range and level of the position.
Job Range Target:
Minimum: $70,170.00 USD
Median: $111,650.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans: This job is not incentive eligible.
