Job Location: Dallas, TX
- Full control of Power BI management tasks, futures, monitoring and reporting usage and performance, manage auditing, assign workspaces and capacity, manage users and groups, access and capacity, manage workloads and usage, and configuring and managing Gateway
- Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
- Create dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI
- Convert data into stories that help establish data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) with clear objectives and consistently monitor those
- Analyzing data and present data through reports that aid decision-making
- Convert business requirements into technical specifications and suggest timeline to accomplish
- Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models
- Chart creation and data documentation explaining algorithms, parameters, models, and relations
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics
- Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI
- Analyze current ETL process
- Create customize charts and custom calculations as per requirements
- Design, develop and deploy business intelligence solutions as per needs
- SQL querying for best results, use of filters and graphs for better understanding of data
- Work with users and team members at all level for performance improvement and suggestions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related IT discipline or Undergraduate degree equivalent experience in analytical field (finance, accounting, HR)
- Power BI administration activities, futures, installation of Gateway: 5 years
- Power BI dashboards, reports: 3+ years (Preferred)
- Develop, Publish, and Schedule Power BI Reports: 3+ years (Preferred)
- Gather Requirements from Key Stakeholders: 3+ years (Preferred)
- Work with a team to analyze, design, develop, deploy, and support Power BI dashboards and reports that meet business and technical requirements
- Proficiency in DAX
- Experience with complex SQLs and stored procedures (MySQL/Oracle)
- Experience in ETL would be a plus
- Strong experience in developing visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop
- Able to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service
- Able to implement row-level security on data and an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI
- Identify, optimize and fine tune performance issues with complex queries/reports
- Experience in Oracle Database is a plus
- Excellent SQL knowledge and experience is required.
- Experience with accounting and / or financial reporting systems is preferred.
- Must be able to produce high-quality work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including SharePoint, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
