Job Description
Data Governance intern will be responsible for the development, maintenance and/or implementation of policies and procedures and carrying out data testing to ensure the integrity of our data.
Job Duties
- Customer data focussed Data Governance role, supporting Customer facing business functions including:
- Data analysis, validation, and reporting on data quality – including documenting analysis definitions
- Developing recommendations on changes to ensure data quality – aligned to business structure/needs
- Documenting all data rules to clarify the data governance for Customer related data, including, but not limited to:
- Process documentation,
- Data change process definitions and documentation,
- Data ownership rules and guidelines,
- Business changes and impact to data and data quality
- Build Data governance scorecards and RAILs for continued visibility and improvement
- Liaise with, and understand the impact of, other functions data on the customer data and vice-versa
- Participate with the Global Data Governance team to expand global standards, e.g. documentation standards, central repository of Data Governance documents, etc.
You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree
- Enrolled in or graduating from a Master’s program in a data or math area, preferably data analytics, governance, engineering, or science
- Strong data software skills – Advanced Excel/Smartsheet, Visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc,), SQL a plus
- Self-motivation, curiosity, strong work ethic
