Let’s talk about the team
Propeller’s Business Intelligence (BI) & Analytics team work closely with data engineers, products, and other stakeholders to support the overall company’s analytic strategy and services. The team develop automated reports and dashboards for both internal and external clients, conduct KPI analyses, as well as diving into product data and user behavior to inform modeling, prioritization, and strategy.

You will Join a talented and independent team to find creative solutions to respiratory and other chronic diseases at scale, shape how we apply data to help patients, contribute to patient-facing production systems driven by real customer needs.
Let’s talk about the role
Reporting to the Director of Data & Platform Product Management, the Manager of BI & Analytics will be leading on the BI function and data analytics services for Propeller. You will be leading the team to enable data-driven decision-making for both internal and external customers by crafting scalable business solutions that retrieve and aggregate data from multiple sources and present it in a digestible and actionable format.
This REMOTE role requires a highly motivated and skilled team leader to
  • Collaborate with business and technology partners to build insightful analytical solutions and dashboards
  • Manage direct reports and invest in their technical and professional development
  • Cultivate technical skills and meticulous attention to detail within the data team
  • Continue to refine the internal service workflows and day-to-day data operations
  • Support behavioral initiatives with regard to data structure definition, coordination with
    data producers, and surfacing of insights
  • Take lead on behavioral analytics modeling and data science support
  • Provide insights that inform various components of the company’s overall strategy
  • Continue to refine the internal service workflows and day-to-day data operations
  • Help to manage prioritization and distribution of work
  • Act as one of the main internal and external faces for the BI & Analytics team on
    technical issues and support in presentations/meetings
  • Field more complicated data requests from stakeholders across Propeller
Let’s talk about you
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Biology, Computer Science, or other relevant field
  • 5+ years experience in a Business Intelligence (BI) or data analyst role
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Extensive experience with complex SQL queries and a demonstrated adherence to data
    visualization best practices
  • A successful history of mentoring and enabling multiple team members
  • A track record of being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of data and facilitating
    knowledge-sharing across data analytics and product teams as well as stakeholders
  • Expertise in Amazon Redshift and/or RDS data warehouse
  • Expertise in Tableau reporting and server administration
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, particularly complex queries
  • Advanced knowledge of different BI tools and statistical modeling
Preferred:
  • Masters in Analytics, Statistics, or other relevant field
  • Experience with analyzing digital health or behavioral data
  • Working knowledge of Segment or other application data analytics
  • Working knowledge of Snowflake as well as AI/ML models and tools such as Python or R
