Data Scientist Job Description
Location: Pune India

As a Data Scientist, you will help our clients apply leading data analysis and artificial intelligence techniques to challenging business problems, all while becoming proficient in the most highly valued technological skillset in the global marketplace.

In this role you will help design, develop, and test solutions for a diverse set of clients in industries such as Manufacturing, High Tech, Life Sciences, Consumer Goods and Retail.
Main Responsibilities:
No two days are the same in our dynamic environment, nevertheless, below is a list of responsibilities you will be accountable for:

Creating data models supporting Kalypso digital solutions across Manufacturing, High Tech, Life Sciences, Consumer Goods and Retail industries. Example model themes:
- Timeseries analysis
- Predictive maintenance
- Asset efficiency modelling
- Complex forecasting
- Risk analysis
- Customer behavior analysis
- Multi-dimensional correlation
- Natural language processing / Natural language generation
- Sentiment analysis
- Model benchmarking and technology evaluation (tools, vendors, techniques)
- Build data visualizations and gather insights from data
- Support in designing and building scalable tools to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data using on prem, cloud, and hybrid technologies – for our pre-configured solutions or on per-project basis
- Support in designing and Implementing machine learning and data management strategies (ingest, process, store)
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders to understand their concerns and actively participate in solution design and build
- Have fun while delivering excellent results to our clients
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
- 4-6 years of relevant work experience in Data Science and/or Statistics
- Proficiency in mathematical disciplines including linear algebra, calculus, probabilistic models and statistics
- Data manipulation techniques, including ETL/ETLV, libraries like pandas, numpy and scipy.
- Experience with R or Python scripting techniques
- Experience with data visualization platforms like matplotlib, seaborn, plotly
- Experience in Graph/NoSQL database techniques, and RDBMS SQL platforms like Oracle and MS SQL Server
- Experience using and developing RESTful and SOAP web services
- General knowledge of software development practices and technical documentation (requirements, functional specifications, test plans, etc.)
- Proficiency with Machine Learning model development, training, validation, tuning and application
- Experience translating business requirements into well-engineered and integrated technical solutions; attention to detail
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with flexibility and a deep commitment to client service
- Commitment to quality and on-schedule delivery; proven ability to establish and meet milestones and deadlines
- Effective interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
- Creativity, self-confidence, and flexibility
- Superior analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Willingness to travel (required) up to 50%
