As a ISC Data Scientist, you will collaborate with IT and functional stakeholders in our Plan, Source, Make, and Deliver functions to establish, maintain and enhance a reliable, connected data foundation that can be used to provide actionable insights. We are looking for someone who can understand how business applications support the processes, how the information transforms, and the architecture required to support the business analytics for our supply chain functional domains. This position is expected to provide thought leadership and solutions through information design, advanced data analytics and integration technology.
Main Responsibilities:
- You will create optimal data architectures through Azure and build large, complex data models. This includes working with business stakeholders to gather requirements and transform those into a technical solution.
- You provide thought leadership to architect data structures to provision and enable “Data as a Service”
- Writes high-quality code compliant with regulations and provide data specifications to ensure all agreed standards and protocols are followed and data integrity is preserved.
- Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice.
- Support and contribute to the documentation of “as is” and “to be” processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the “to be” capability.
- Thought leadership in the data design agility required to support future use cases and future points of data consumption.
- Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics, Business Analytics, or related field
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ Year demonstrated experience with ML Libraries, R, Python, Scala, or related programming languages
- 5+ years demonstrated experience with PowerBI, expert knowledge of data verse, dataflows workings is desired
- Expert knowledge of PowerApps, Power Automate
- Agility to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
- Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to influence functional and IT stakeholders independently
- Domain expertise / experience supporting multiple of the following functional areas:
- Plan – Supply Chain Strategy & Planning, Materials Management
- Source – Purchasing / Sourcing / Procurement
- Make – Manufacturing
- Deliver – Logistics, Distribution & Customer Care
- Proven passion for innovation and data analytics is a must.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or Software Engineer with a focus on building data pipelines and foundations.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with MS Azure or similar data infrastructure, excellent understanding of SQL and database building and maintenance.
- Experience with systems development lifecycle and system/process documentation
- SAP Ecosystem Data Structure and Navigation knowledge.
- Experience with Databricks.
- Master’s degree in areas such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or Econometrics, Business Analytics is preferred.
