Job Details
The Infrastructure Data Science team is hiring their first Analytics Engineer (DS- Analytics)! This is a distinct role from the existing data scientists on the team, which are focused on algorithmic development (DS- Algos) and embedded in the Horizon scrum teams.
Required Skills :
-
Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
- Analytical thinker with a passion for using data and scientific methods to solve business problems (5+ years of experience in product analytics or data science) in Tableau development – including user, content and data management within Tableau
- Charismatic storyteller ready to present complex analytics to senior leadership in a clear and compelling manner that inspires action
- Proficient with common analytical programming languages e.g. Python
- Expert in working with data e.g. SQL
- Strong experience with and understanding a modern data stack, including cloud based data warehousing (AWS), ETL Tools and Tableau,
- Proven ability to effectively analyze, visualize, and communicate data including measures and metrics
- Demonstrated experience with User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) using a combination of user interface tools such as wire frames, prototypes, mock-ups, or whiteboarding to illustrate product usability
- Passionate about automating data that directly solving business problem
- Lover of building relationships and collaborating in a cross-disciplinary environment.
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards in Tableau
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience building lightweight data apps in streamlit, dash, rshiny, etc.
