The Business Insights team of Information Management Strategy equips Salesforce leadership with meaningful business insights and compelling narratives . We aim to make it easy for our customers across TMP to get the insights they need to drive action. You’ll have the opportunity to help lay the foundation and practices as we continue to build and scale our global Business Insights organization. You will work with product managers within Security who build services that secure our services and products at scale. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse set of data across Security to dig deep and ask why is this happening.
We’re looking for a passionate and motivated tableau dashboard developer who is looking to take their career to the next level to solve complex data and visualization challenges. Your responsibilities:
- Partner with product managers to build persona based data products that help security leaders make data informed decisions using Tableau and/or Tableau CRM.
- Take on a key role in shaping our data products
- Define and lead best practices on our visualization stack (Tableau & Tableau CRM) including analyzing business needs, document and translate requirements into user stories, QA testing and enabling visualization for our customers across Security
- Lead non-functional aspects, such as dashboard security, performance, scalability, usability using the industry standard design principles
- Mentor others on the team to up-skill their Tableau development knowledge
- Design and develop data-driven insights and visualizations, provide recommendations effectively/succinctly to leaders and other customers across the organization
- Design engaging and interactive business insights dashboards using Tableau and apply data visualization best practices, with a focus on enhancing user interaction and user experience
- Define and implement release process for dashboards
- Foster relationships and develop trust with engineering teams, product managers and our customers to facilitate data-driven decision making
- Provide user documentation to enable users and new feature adoption
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field, Computer Science or equivalent. A Master’s Degree is a plus.
- 7+ years of rich experience in Tableau development – including user, content and data management within Tableau
- Analytical ability to delve into details while maintaining a broader business perspective
- Strong experience with and understanding a modern data stack, including cloud based data warehousing (AWS), ETL Tools and Tableau
- Proven ability to effectively analyze, visualize, and communicate data including measures and metrics
- Demonstrated experience with User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) using a combination of user interface tools such as wire frames, prototypes, mock-ups, or whiteboarding to illustrate product usability
- Demonstrated understanding of data systems such as Business Intelligence (BI) analytics, data blending, data warehousing, etc
