Hyperscale Segment Strategy (HSS) team focuses analyzing internal production and sales data, customer forecasts and general industry trends to ensure product supply continuity, customer satisfaction and sustainable revenue growth.
Overview & Impact
- You will integrate data from a variety of internal and external sources into a common warehouse / data base in order to support data science and advanced analytics activities.
- You will have the opportunity to design and implement scalable big data systems from scratch. You will develop a deep understanding of our company’s various operational systems and datasets in order to extract data into the data warehouse, model it and build data marts.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with cross functional stakeholders to design and architect data warehouse and analytics solutions.
- Own projects ranging from data structure design to extraction / transformation / loading (ETL), as well as building dashboards for analysis to provide varying levels of visualizations as per the requirements.
- Designing and implementing efficient data pipelines (ETLs) in order to integrate data from a variety of sources.
- Designing and implementing data model changes that align with warehouse standards.
- Delivers solutions to provide full product life cycle support, collaborating within and across teams, database development and deployment.
- Express business definitions through SQL transformations and calculations.
Qualifications & Required Skills
- Pursuing BS & 2+ prior year experience or pursuing Masters in quantitative fields: Business Analytics, Computer Science, Math/Statistics, Economics, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data marts, data modeling, and related methodologies
- Experience working with star schemas
- Expert SQL programmer within a data warehousing environment
- Advanced SQL functions including windowing
- Experience with data validation and developing data models for use in business intelligence tools
- Experience building slowly changing dimensions
- Exposure to Tableau, Power BI, Quick sight, or other BI tools

Prefered Skills
- Proficient in Python / Scala / SQL
- Database administration / implementation experience is a strong plus
- Experience working as or with a DBA for improving database design and performance techniques
- Expertise in relational and dimensional data modeling
- Refined skills using one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, bash, etc.)
- UNIX admin and general server administration experience
