ML/AI Accelerator Intern

Job Responsibilities
- Research the next generation ML/AI accelerator architecture and memory-centric computation architecture for on-device machine learning applications.
- Identify and solve multi-discipline ML acceleration problems, especially with memory bottlenecks, involving algorithms, network design, hardware architecture
- Prototype a new acceleration architecture/algorithm on FPGA platforms
Qualifications & Required Skills
- Currently Pursuing MS or PhD in EE/CS or equivalent
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required
- Solid understanding of DNN acceleration architectures and their key performance tradeoffs.
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including C/C++ or Python
- Self-motivated problem-solver with an ability to work well in a team.

Prefered Skills
- Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar machine learning toolsets
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art DNN workloads and their compute and memory requirements
- Experience in domain-specific HW accelerator design and architecture, distributed/parallel programming, hardware/software co-design for machine learning, or simulator development and micro-architecture
- Deep understanding of PPA (performance, power, and area) trade-offs.
- Thorough knowledge of general computer architecture: computer/server systems, processors, storage, I/O, network, data centers, and typical applications.
