SUMMARY

The Centre of Expertise (CoE) within SAP IDG provides the expertise in application and technology areas to deliver high-end engineering services to our Premium Engagement (MaxAttention, Active Attention and Value Assurance) customers.
The goal and mission of the CoE is to ensure optimal performance, availability, and smooth operation of SAP software. Our core competence is to optimize technical and business processes by delivering engineering services to our installed customer base. CoE plays the role of trusted advisor for value realization, protection of investment and acceleration of innovation to our customers. We follow a global team model designed to ensure efficient, cross-regional consistency in employee development, quality of delivery, customer expectation and overall satisfaction.


THE ROLE

  • CoE Engineers analyse respective SAP solutions of our global customers and present the results of their findings and recommendations to IT managers and executives. You have the opportunity to design and optimize multi-product complex business solutions, on which our largest customers run their businesses. Your area of responsibility will also extend to deep functional & technology root cause analysis and application of best practices for operations across industries.
  • As CoE is a global team, you will be working closely with SAP Development and other SAP Teams to assist our customers in an optimal way and to find appropriate solutions.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • You have 5-8 years’ experience in implementation / support / development project for the areas of SAP EWM Solution specifically inbound process, outbound processes, replenishment strategies, cross docking, labor management, material flow system etc.
  • You have ABAP programming skills including ABAP performance analysis. Integration with other SAP Products like S4HANA & TM will be added advantage

Service Delivery:

  • Performs and leads overall analysis of situation at key accounts
  • Identifies top issues in key account engagements
  • Leads analysis of system landscape and technical issues
  • Leads analysis of core business processes for respective applications
  • Leads analysis of system and application operation
  • Delivery functional and/or technical tasks in Premium Engagements
  • Brings technical or application expert knowledge into the project
  • Co-operates with the Focus Technical Quality Manager (FTQM) to answer difficult functional or technical questions and executes concrete tasks
  • Delivery of Onsite & Remote services for Premium Engagements and Mission Critical Support (escalations & task forces, MCS Backoffice) including Optimization, Assessment, Technical Integration/ Validation, Empowering trainings and workshops.

Engineering Services:

  • Learns to deliver onsite services as functional and/or Technical expert for broad area of topics
  • Actively provides customer feedback to development based on delivery
  • Implements specific best practice scenarios
  • Develops trainings, specifications, and documentation
  • Ensures that services and documentation are available and up to date for the respective area of expertise
  • Takes over development tasks in service development
  • Delivers root cause analysis, provides solutions, and delivers services for specific fields / areas

Backoffice (As Necessary):
Production Support:

  • Participates in weekend support activities
  • Reports errors to development organizations
  • Works as functional/Technical expert in de-escalations
  • Functional/Technical responsibility for specialist Functional/Technical area
  • Drives knowledge transfer within specialist focus area

Engagement Support:

  • Understands customer requirements and coaches Embedded Support for planning single support services including identification of the needed skills and the size of the delivery (for Premium Engagement customers)
  • Contributes to the achievement of our CoE quality and efficiency targets (including focus on remote share, QA of service delivery, reporting)
  • Develops trainings, specifications and documentation; ensuring that the documentation is up to date for the respective area of expertise

Development (As necessary):

  • Functional / Technical development for scoped services
  • Understand and develop assigned request from engagements
  • Responsibility to guide implementation according to SAP product & support standards


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have a very good bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology
  • You are willing to travel worldwide
  • You have strong analytical and logical skills
