The SAC team is looking for an Development Manager to help with our next generation cloud-based Analytics platform. Role

As Development Manager, you will be:

  • Lead and develop a cross-functional team including software engineers and quality engineers.
  • Responsible for your teamโ€™s end to end delivery of features from the solution definition phase to deployment to customers.
  • Working with Product Management and User Experience on defining/refining the product backlog.
  • Working with your development teams to come up with most optimal plan to deliver the product backlog items.
  • Ensuring that implementation of new features meet architecture requirements.
  • Ensuring that features delivered meet quality requirements.
  • Monitoring execution of plan and pro-actively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Iteratively refining processes based on feedback from team.
  • Support team members to achieve their best potential, help them define development goals, and coach / mentor them in the execution. Regularly seek and offer feedback.
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment, in which team members feel comfortable openly sharing their thoughts
  • Set clear goals with team members, inspire and support them towards accomplishing the goals, and evaluate goal achievement in a fair and understandable way
  • Create an environment of continuous learning, experimentation, and improvement
  • Actively participate in leadership team alignments to improve overall team processes, support peer managers, and transparently cascade relevant information to your team. Foster collaboration across organizational boundaries
  • Responsible for hiring of team members, interns, and members.
  • Scale team for multiple components and topic deliveries and delegate topic ownership adequately
  • Bring technical initiatives together and drive engagement with the larger team

Role Requirement

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree (or equivalent) / or Master’s degree (or equivalent) preferably in Computer Science or Engineering or similar area.
  • 12+ years of relevant software development experience with 5 years of experience in managing cross-functional teams
  • 5 years of experience with agile software development methodologies, such as SCRUM
  • Strong knowledge in Browser Based development technologies: React/Redux, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, HTTP, Restful APIs, and asynchronous web services.
  • Knowledge in SAC Mobile iOS Application would be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in definition and consumption of Multidimensional datasources.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and able to prioritize work based on short term and medium-term business needs.
  • Experience in leading teams / larger projects with the ability to work with, understand, and motivate people.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: open-minded, team player, result oriented, motivated to work in an international and intercultural environment with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple topics and multiple stakeholders.
  • Scale team for multiple components and topic deliveries and delegate topic ownership adequately.
  • Bring technical initiatives together and drive engagement with the larger team.
  • Consistent performance with high level of team engagement and trust scores.
  • Prior experience in the role of people manager or functional leadership with direct team connect is mandatory.
  • Strong experience in end-to-end software delivery (solution definition, implementation, and quality).
