Work Location: Hyderabad (In Office)
Core skills needed: Main important areas SQL SSIS/ETL/SSRS/POWERBI/Data warehousing concepts.
Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below.
- 5+ Years of Software QA experience on enterprise level applications which includes ETL, Database & DWH Testing.
- Sound experience and knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS & MSSQL experience (intermediate or senior level).
- Strong in SQL, RDBMS, and DW concepts & Proven experience in testing ETL and DB solutions.
- Experience in validating Reports/Dashboards on tools like MS Power BI etc.
- Experience in writing complex SQL queries, ability to determine the types of testing that must be conducted (i.e., data validation, regression, etc.), including evaluating the testability of requirements and create a comprehensive test plan that supports the business and technological solutions being delivered.
- Knowledge of data models and entity relationship diagrams
- Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of data warehouses, data marts, and BI.
- Should have experience testing multiple test phases in medium to large projects.
- Should have adequate experience & clear understanding of data warehouse & data mart testing.
- Identification and Test Data Preparation Techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of STLC, Test Cases, Defect Life Cycle etc. Proficiency with Test Case Preparation and Execution.
- Extensive exposure to Back-end/ETL Testing with high-level of SQL skills is required.
- Should have exposure to large data sets and understand Data Quality Framework.
- Defect tracking tools experience (i.e., ALM, VSO/TFS, Jira etc.)
- Review functional and technical solutions to develop test plans and scripts for various data quality checks.
