Job Location: Boston, MA
The Al Industry SME Lead will be responsible to build and maintain a team of functional experts which are combining deep knowledge of AI and one of the following disciplines like Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Material Science, Chemistry or Physics. The team will support the Al Industry Consulting and Research team during their projects by providing functional inputs and bridging the gap between Al and Science. This includes but not limited to creating new innovative applications, pushing the limits of Engineering AI to the next level or simply run a customer assessment.
- Contributes to Technical Excellence.
- Influences the Technical Direction on analytics/artificial intelligence/data science across a R&D center in anticipation or offer creation or influences bricks, platforms or methods of multiple LoBs when in a “Central function”.
- Has an impact on business, offers and technologies.

- Masters a strategic technology domain (Artifical Intelligence, Optimization, Dependabilit, Analytics), develops and deploys related innovation and expertise to offers (through research, platforming, standardisation, trends, partnership, intellectual property, reference documents).
- Holds a deep knowledge of customer processes and our offers, to support technical interactions with end-customers and solving of offer issues.
- Provides papers, blogs or conference presentations to contribute to the promotion of Strategy.
- Contributes to international technical organisations. Contributes to an international and multi-organization technical community and beyond a cross-functions (Marketing, sales…) network. Contributes to knowledge and know-how development and sharing.

(External) English Qualifications:
- 8 years relevant experience – Creating data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets
- Analysis may be applied to various areas of the business (eg. Market Economics, Supply Chain, Marketing/Advertising, Scientific Research, etc.)
- Researching and applying knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to inform business decisions
- At higher career levels, may conduct scientific research projects with the goal of breaking new ground in data analytics
- Machine learning techniques may be used to solve business problems and/or derive actionable business insights
