Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a part-time Business Analyst Intern for the Fall of 2022.As a Business Analyst intern, youโ€™re part of a team that contributes to the success of H&D Supply Chainโ€™s overarching vision through analytical thinking, technical expertise and sound business systems support. You will be the data Guru for the international team guiding us in data automation and intelligence.

As the key link between systems, data, workflows, reporting, core business functions and service delivery requirements, you support the development, change management, integration and maintenance of business systems to support operational requirements.

As a key member of the Supply Chain Strategy and Transformation team, you are an impressive collaborator and adept at engaging cross-functional teams to implement new system design and provide internal process expertise. You will use data to drive sound business decisions and measure change. Furthermore, you will support the Strategy Leader on sourcing competitive insights on supply chain to better support the businesses key investment decisions.

What will you do?

  • Gather business and technical requirements using multiple elicitation techniques including but not limited to; interviews, surveys, document analysis, focus groups, interface analysis, prototyping, observation, and brainstorming
  • Facilitate design sessions with business and technical teams to define solutions
  • Author project documents including but not limited to; business requirements, functional design, estimates and quality assurance
  • Write unambiguous requirements to a test executable level (functional and non-functional)
  • Model processes using various notations
  • Manage risks, assumptions, and constraints for requirements, and communicate to various stakeholders
  • Perform gap analysis to identify and recommend areas of process improvement
  • Actively collaborate with internal teams and external clients as required
  • Liaise with development teams and project management to ensure commitments are being adhered to and delivered in a timely manner
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Deliver informative, well organized presentations and showcases to partners at critical points in the project
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from various sources, reconciles conflicts, and decomposes high level information into appropriate details

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • 1-3 years of relevant career BA/BSA experience in a project-based Agile environment. Expert at requirements gathering, documentation, testing and developing high level plans.
  • Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, CBAP, PBA or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Experience with creating and managing reports/dashboards in tableau
  • Actively seeks out innovative solutions and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • You are articulate and can communicate clearly and effectively (oral and written)
  • Good interpersonal and consultative skills
  • Ability to problem solve efficiently
  • Detail oriented and committed to a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Build and maintain rapport with internal and external partners
