Job Location: Houston, TX

Primary Purpose

Under general supervision, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop and/or modify moderately complex information systems. Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary. Partners with team members and internal IT staff to design effective solutions to solve business problems and enhance efficiency and reporting for department systems and processes. Prepares functional requirements, develops test plans, and works on production related issues. Provides primary support and resolution of day-to-day problems by troubleshooting moderately to complex issues occurring within the business applications. May be called upon to perform project management duties on smaller projects.

This position can be located in Houston, TX or San Diego, CA.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains and develops process workflows and business logic rules. Guides end users towards utilizing leading practices and guidelines. Prepares and delivers end user training program to include new users and refresher courses. Documents application related issues through the change management system. Maintains application security roles, permissions, and user licensing.
  • Manages system set up and onboarding for Project EDMS and acts as Back Up Administrator for Data Room system and Project SharePoint Sites.
  • Acts as primary interface to end users on new implementations, integrated interfaces, and major system enhancements. Comprehends and gathers requirements, designs solutions, trains end users, leads testing effort, completes SDLC and change management documentation.
  • Works collaboratively with Solutions Architects, Business Systems Analysts, Business Solutions Developers, and stakeholders to effectively support delivery of quality solutions to business problems.
  • Provides technical expertise and leadership to other team members with tools and best practices regarding current and new systems.
  • Communicates with all levels of management and end users during analysis, development, testing, and operational phases including status updates, issue identification, and approval requirements.
  • Responds to internal and external audit requests for information. Ensures internal controls are effective. Manages end user security and licensing to ensure they follow company policy.
  • Travesl to company sites for requirements gathering, support, training and implementations. Provides after-hours support as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.

Experience

  • 4+ years in Information Managmeent required.
  • 2 years of experience with Oracle Aconex Systems (administration, configuration, support and training) required.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, Intralinks and SAP Ariba is preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good system administration skills.
  • High level of professional communication, organization and coordination skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
  • Good project/task management skills.
