Job Location: Richland, WA

Principle Accountabilities:

• Budget development and budget change management

• Project schedule development and maintenance

• Organizational cost performance vs. budget variances and cost trends

• Tracking and execution of Capital and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) project controls and Earned Value Management System EVMS) information

• Risk assessments and monitoring of key risk activities

• Process improvements and procedure updates

• Intrapersonal/Interpersonal proactive collaboration within department and external customers

 

Required Education and Experience:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in a project controls/project management position in an industrial environment; OR a High School diploma or GED and 6 years of project controls / project management experience in lieu of degree. Formal training on Primavera Project Planner or another project management system is required

 

Desired Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management.

Utility industry experience.

Process Improvement experience.

Experience in nuclear power generation business processes including work management, operations, HR, finance, accounting, project management.

 

Required abilities and skills:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint

• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 or similar project management system

• Working knowledge of professional project management principles

• Knowledge of project reporting and cost analysis of project information

• Well-developed skills in the areas of administration and time management

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

• Well-developed written and oral communications and presentation skills; comfortable speaking in front of groups

• Strong teamwork skills

• Detail focused when required

• Strong analytical, mathematical, data checking skills

• Ability to establish goals, set priorities, and maintain an awareness of interrelationships among activities

• Strong keyboarding and organizing skills

• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft, Asset Suite, Adaptive and Power BI.

 

Desired abilities and skills:

Familiar with error reduction and human performance improvement methods, and cost-effective work execution methodologies, managing projects, on-line work management, refueling and forced outage management related activities, engineering, or standard project management techniques.
