    Team Overview
    Data Tools and Automation, Continuous Improvement
    There is a huge thirst from decision makers across the business to use data, and insights derived
    from analysis, to drive better commercial decisions. The Data Tools and Automation team is
    embarking on a journey to completely change the way people in the GCSC department interact with
    data. Key stakeholders across the business, from board level down, are looking for ways in which
    data can enable significant growth in revenue and profitability.
    The team has implemented a completely new software stack based on JavaScript, VBA, Tableau,
    Alteryx and Exasol, and a robust new data warehouse. They are now focused on working closely with
    subject matter experts throughout the business to deliver key dashboards and insights to support
    decision making.
    The Data Tools and Automation team acts as the center of excellence for analytics and automation
    within GCSC. It is responsible for the datasets and infrastructure used for analytics, developing best
    practices, and overseeing all business analytics throughout the Business Unit. The team also bridges
    the technological gaps and provides best optimized solutions to achieve operational excellence.
    Role Overview Analyst, Improvement & Business Intelligence
    We are looking for an outstanding Excel VBA/ Web Developer to be responsible for the coding,
    innovative design and layout of excel based application to web page.
    Support the Data Tools and Automation team to provide Automation Tools for the GCSC on key
    initiatives. Working to the Global Customer Service Centre (GCSC) quality standard and achieving a
    best in class level of project management for automation tools.
    The Candidate will report to the Data Tools and Automation Manager and will often be semi-
    embedded within a functional team.
    Key Accountabilities:
    • Tool Delivery
    o Propose, scope, design, create, implement, train and support automation solutions (e.g.
    bespoke client reports, process efficiency tools, productivity reporting etc)
    Identify areas in GCSC, where automation can be applied through working with
    the Managed Services Team and wider GCSC
    Create automated, highly customized client reports to rigid client specifications
    using provided data in a variety of formats
    Identify out of the box solutions that could otherwise stabilize automation and
    complement existing “home-grown” tools
    o Project Manage the tool builds through providing deliverables, timelines, progress
    updates, critical dependencies, risks identified etc for proposed and approved projects;
    through the generation of project plans
    o Support and improve existing automation solutions (e.g. home grown tools, specifically
    Excel, macros, JavaScript)
    o Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development
    practices

    o Create Excel based report, website layout/user interface by using standard VBA,
    JavaScript/HTML/CSS practices
    o Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
    o Create and maintain software documentation
    o Ad-hoc data analysis, manipulation, and reporting for the GCSC
    o Resolves or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or
    functional areas
    o Works cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes
    o Anticipates consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change
    o Sets and meets realistic deadlines
    • Core skills and content development
    o Knowledge management, including:
    Keeping abreast of market coding trends and evolving stakeholder needs and
    using this to deliver GCSC solutions
    Ensuring leverage and re-use of knowledge to fulfil GCSC needs
    Maintaining own knowledge of new and existing solutions, services, products
    including all new delivery mechanisms along with proactive professional
    development based on priorities agreed in personal development plan
    • Organization
    o Ability to organize and structure priorities that include strategic and tactical activities
    • Reporting
    o Provide strategic and tactical reporting to key stakeholders on projects rhythmically and
    adhoc
    o Identifying key takeaways, influencers, root causes and solutions
    Requirements:
    Experience
    • Minimum of 1yrs experience in a Senior role & 3-5 years of programming skills
    o Strong understanding of programming logic and concepts, with demonstrable real
    time application of programming principles
    o Strong ability to visualize, conceptualize and quantify proposed ideas
    • Highly advanced understanding of the Excel model, both in function and design (to include
    macros)
    • Some VBA ability, applying, reading and interpret VBA code.
    • Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of JavaScript, HTML/CSS
    • Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web
    application development
    • Good understanding of end-user challenges – able to predict and resolve ‘user created
    problems’ along with software issues that arise
    • Comprehensive knowledge of business language, with the ability to interpret and break
    down complex briefs, translate into a solution, and present to stakeholders to achieve buy-in
    and sign-off
    Skills:
    • Excellent knowledge of Excel VBA, JavaScript based application development
    • Experience of multiple full project lifecycles from business development to final delivery
    • Outstanding grasp of information concepts and processes
    • Ability to work under pressure, deliver results and work to tight deadlines
    • Strong communications skills to manage stakeholder expectations
    • Strong networker, with good awareness of escalation and touch points

    • Must be professional, diplomatic, personable and reliable
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent business English and local languages as required
    • Microsoft Office skills
