Job Detail:

SHR Talent is partnering with a client in Nashville, TN in its search for a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Financial Planning & Analysis Director in producing high-quality reporting packages and financial analyses that provide significant business insights in real-time to drive the finance and sales functions towards increased awareness of results and make meaningful business decisions.

As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will successfully leverage and utilize technology resources to access organizational data efficiently and publish business reports for use. The Senior Financial Analyst will also utilize financial modeling skills to support the maintenance of the corporate 3-statement financial model, the 13-week cash flow model, and other related financial models.

To be successful in the role as the Senior Financial Analyst, you must be a self-starter with an analytical and inquisitive mind with the ability to identify and be directed to an issue or challenge and apply a data-driven and logical approach to better understand the issue’s relevance and root cause, have experience with and the ability to work cross-functionally, as well as the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce month-end financial reporting packages
  • Produce standard monthly sales reports for assigned sales leaders and reps
  • Produce ad-hoc reports and queries as required by management
  • Assist in preparation of monthly borrowing base calculation, collaborating with accounting team to understand drivers of periodic changes in working capital balances
  • Collaborate with accounting team to understand fluctuations versus budget, forecasts, and prior periods, ensuring financial results are accurately reflected
  • Perform a variety of business analyses as required by customers and members of the sales management team
  • Support annual budget process and quarterly forecasting process
  • Assist in annual and quarterly sales target-setting process
  • Maintain and improve existing Power BI dashboards, identifying business trends and providing real-time reporting
  • Collaborate with operating teams to provide fact-based recommendations that support revenue growth targets and improve profitability, operating efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Analyze inventory mix and excess amounts, ensuring control of working capital and financial compliance
  • Drive adoption and use of new reporting tools and produce related training materials

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field, required
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Professional Accountancy (MAcc), a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, public accounting, consulting, or investment banking role
  • Experience working with sales and sales operations teams with successful adoption of sales systems enhancements, processes, and tools
  • Experience preparing presentations and analyses for internal and external use
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, required
  • Power BI experience such as Salesforce and SQL, a plus
