Roles and Responsibilities
Job Description:
Problem Management
Identifies underlying root causes of incidents to prevent future recurrences for the application supported.
Identifies the failing component/part of applications or cause of the problem.
Timely acceptance of responsibility for resolving problem which are assigned by incident management team.
Meeting the established objectives for the problem resolution priority.
Providing the solution to the problem or contacting vendor for further discussion and possible resolution.
Logging SFR’s & Updating the resolution section of problem record and its status; updating and following up with other concerned team.
Obtain approval for the recovery procedure/ changes and contacting DPC for moving changes into production.
Performance Improvement
Keep a log of any changes made to servers including documentation of any performance issue you identify and correct.
Take initiative in application performance improvement projects, process improvement and practices.
Projects Management
Develop and deliver progress report/ performance matrices, proposal, requirement documentation and presentation.
Pro-actively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plan.
Build develop and grow any vital business relationship which is vital to the success of the project.
Plan and schedule project timeliness and milestone using appropriate tools.
Adhere Track project milestone and deliverable.
Vendor Management
Conduct periodic meetings with Vendor for discussion of critical problems and follow up till closure.
Provide feedback on the results of each assigned task.
Seek RCA from vendor on major critical issues and permanent fix.
Ensure renewals and payments of the vendor under support.
Audit and Compliance
Coordinating with BPRG / DPC /DBA / Vendor etc. for raising CCFโs as per SOX guidelines.
Attending CAB and planning for the movement of CCF in production.
Collect & provide required evidences from audit and SOX compliance point of view for the application.
Carry out CRF/SRM as per the ITPP policies.
Ensure zero failure in sox.
Previous Experience Required :
Years of Exp:5+
Years of Exp. โ Total experience of 5+ Years out of which 3 years in Banking Sector
Technical Skills โ Databases-Oracle 12c, SQL2K16, DB2, Open Source
SQL (MySQL, NoSQL etc..) databases.
ETL Tools- Informatica, Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle
Streaming Data, Any Open Source ETL
Operating Systems- Unix, Windows, Linux
Open-Source Tools- Big Data (HADOOP), Cloudera,
Change-Data- Capture, KAFKA
others
Exposure to application support / architectural concepts/design across diverse technology platforms.
Preferably ITIL v3 basic Foundation course trained/certified, awareness about IT governance/best practices. Broad understanding of IT standards and methodologies.
Good soft skills (people management, communication, conflict management, resource allocation)
Awareness of BFSI segment
Familiarity with audits, internal controls, regulatory reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance.
Good analytical & Techno-Functional Knowledge/Skills
