Sleeper is seeking a Quantitative Research Analyst to conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data processing, analysis, evaluation of customer insights and presentations. In this Quantitative Research Analyst, you will work with senior management to determine the strategic plan for financial lending lines of business to develop and conduct data analytics, financial assessment, business intelligence, and performance reporting. About This Role

A Jr. Quantitative Research Analyst works closely with Data & User Insight team, Fraud team, User researchers, and advisors to identify, conduct, and produce research that solves complex business challenges on a global scale. This role enjoy exposure to the full array of strategic thought work including primary and secondary research, designing, and implementing surveys, predictive statistical modeling, and proprietary research exercises focused on breaking down ideas in search of insight.

What You Will Do

• Utilize analytical tools (SQL, R, Python) and data query tools to build, test, evaluate and maintain robust data analysis and reporting for management to make timely and informed decisions

• Work as part of a team or independently to assist key stakeholders including Product Owner, Marketing, Operations, User Experience, Finance, Fraud, IT, and external business partners to evaluate, manage, and execute initiatives aimed at driving Unsecured portfolio growth

• Conduct competitive market analysis to identify gaps between internal programs and competitor programs

• Directly mine and evaluate behavioral/demographic attributes and other internal and external data elements

• Apply mathematical or statistical techniques to address practical issues in financial model, such as derivative valuation, securities trading, risk management, or financial market regulation

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an analytics-heavy field (e.g., Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Finance, Applied Statistics, Policy Analysis, etc.); Master’s/PhD strongly preferred

• 1+ years of experience in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to identify relevant findings or Complete our internship program

• Expertise in designing and implementing research surveys

• Project management experience across large-scale research projects

• Experience creating intuitive graphical representations of data for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to extract insight from data using statistical analyses (e.g., multi-variate regressions, logistic regressions, cluster analysis, factor analysis, etc.) and supporting software packages (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, etc.)

• Proficiency in advanced analytics techniques (e.g., natural language processing, machine learning, etc.) a plus, but not required

Certain locations in the United States require job postings to include a reasonable estimate of the base salary range and/or a general description of benefits and other compensation applicable to the role. For this role in those locations, the base salary range for new hires is:

Las Vegas, NV Annualized Base Pay Range: 42,000 USD – 78,470 USD

In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
