As a Snap Engineering team member, you’ll help us build the future of communication.
We’re looking for an IT Client Engineer to join Snap Inc. Working closely with the Information Technology team, you will play a critical role in managing and scaling our internal client management infrastructure. You’ll leverage JAMF, WorkspaceOne, Munki, Google Workspace Admin, Chef, and other tools to design, deliver, and support our global user base.
This person must exhibit a high level of professionalism in providing excellent customer service and exercise sound judgment to provide timely resolution of problems. They must understand the office culture and maintain excellent relationships with global customers, business partners, and IT team members.
What you’ll do:

Architect and engineer system provisioning flows, application deployment, system configuration, patch management, and encryption for the entire fleet

Orchestrate threat remediation at scale
-
Identify and implement automation solutions to reduce manual and repeating operational tasks
-
Handle escalations from IT Operations staff and provide training and documentation as necessary

Act as a primary contact for processing security requests that affect the client fleet

Scope medium and large projects effectively and drive on schedule delivery

Help mentor and cross-train engineers on your team

Keep up with industry best practices, trends, and standards

Be an advocate of knowledge sharing across IT
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
-
Strong organizational and task management skills
-
Strong knowledge of desktop/enterprise security best practices.

Proficiency with scripting in any of the following or similar languages: PowerShell, Ruby, Python, Bash, Go
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience
-
3+ years of technical experience managing and administering multiple platforms at scale
Preferred Qualifications:
-
macOS management experience using a combination of open source and commercially-available tools (Chef, munki, AutoPkg, Santa, Jamf, DEP, osquery)
-
Expert knowledge of endpoint management tools and practices for macOS, Windows, Linux, and ChromeOS
-
Proficiency administering macOS, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, iOS, and Android operating systems
-
Experience managing environments with 2500+ endpoints
-
Experience deploying and managing binary authorization systems (such as Santa) at scale
-
Experience administering mobile device management (MDM) systems such as JAMF, Workspace One, MobileIron, Fleetsmith, Maas360, MicroMDM, Moysle, etc.
-
CCA, CMA, CJA or similar JAMF training
-
Other Mac, Linux or Network certifications
-
LDAP and Active Directory experience
-
Familiar with JIRA and/or Confluence for ticketing and documentation
