We’re have internship opportunities in Snowflake’s corporate data science team. This team applies machine learning to a variety of domain specific use-cases across Legal, Sales, Sales Engineering, Alliances, IT, Professional Services & Training. This is a generalist role and will provide an opportunity to work on a wide breadth of problems, applying a good mix of models & methods.

WHAT WE EXPECT:
- Currently enrolled in a MTech degree program in a quantitative discipline: statistics, operations research, computer science, informatics, computer engineering, applied mathematics, economics, etc.
- Interest and basic training in one or more of Statistical Methods, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Optimization, Natural Language Processing and related topics.
- Competence in data wrangling using Python and SQL
- Collaborative enthusiasm and effective communication skills
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:
- Work on developing data science based solutions for various business problems
- Collaborate with a team of high-performing analysts & data scientists on solving real-world problems
- Get experience working on a variety of areas such as forecasting, anomaly detection, behavior modeling, churn analysis, recommendation engines, topic modeling etc.
- Think creatively, proactively, and futuristically to identify new opportunities within Snowflake’s long term roadmap for data science
- Elevate the art of data science practiced at Snowflake
- Act as “customer zero” for Snowflake so we can continue to evolve an even more powerful, intuitive Snowflake product and demonstrations of our internal Snowflake on Snowflake utilization.
