Job Location: Spring, TX
Position Summary
The Power BI developer will build analytical tools for the DCFT team for better and faster insight to data. The position will work closely with various business groups, subject-matter-experts (SMEs), data engineers, and software engineers to develop and deploy innovative solutions to address business needs.
Essential Duties To Include But Not Limited To
- Strong knowledge of Power BI
- Proficient DAX knowledge
- Responsible for developing Power BI visualizations (dashboards, analytics, KPIs, parameterized reports, etc.) to be part of applications and data platform using various disparate sources
- Responsible for configuring database and data platform connections, design semantic layer for reports and self-service BI
- Power BI Data Modeling
- Ensuring data quality, prior to UAT and integral part of end-to-end testing
- Providing Power BI training for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced (self-serve) users
- Creating Power BI guidelines, best practices, and standards for the enterprise
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting
- Provide input and assist as needed to setup Power BI environment, workspaces, gateways, access, security, optimization of reports/dashboards
- Strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to both technical and non-technical audience
- Understand and gather user requirements and be involved in design meetings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-group environment

Requirements And Qualifications
- BS degree required
- Hands-on work in Power BI required
- 5+ years of total experience
- Oil & Gas experience with basic understanding of Wellview preferred but not required
- Strong communications and analytical and skills
- Strong expertise as listed in the essential duties
- Individual contributor and a self-starter needing minimal supervision
