Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) has been developing innovative technologies and solutions for cutting-edge DoD and intelligence programs for over six decades.
SDL’s internship program provides an exciting opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to get involved with state-of-the art technologies in space-, airborne-, and ground-based systems. With the support of engineers and mentors, interns are able to work on professional-level assignments that complement their academic studies. The program also includes training workshops, networking opportunities, and a variety of summer events and activities.
The Strategic and Military Space Division is looking for an exceptional student Business Analyst Intern for a summer internship. This internship will support the Software Branch in day-to-day program needs for software, ground, and space sensor systems as well as rolling up their sleeves and mixing it up with the technical team. The Business Assistant Intern will work as part of a larger team with customers, external partners and vendors, scientists, developers, engineers, managers, technicians, and support personnel.
This internship is for the summer of 2023.
Key Responsibilities:
- This position provides support services for program management within the Software Systems Branch
- The successful candidate will participate in meetings and collect, complete, and organize technical data
- Collect, complete, organize and interpret data relating to military space programs
- Track program/project status and schedules
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient with MS Office and other productivity tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to work independently
- Willingness to ask questions
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, this position may require exposure to information, which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or interest in Project Management a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Project a plus
Education:
- Business, or Project Management major preferred
- Junior, senior, or graduate student
- 3.0 GPA minimum is required
