What You’ll Do
The Associate, Analytics role supports the daily analytics operations at Spotter. The candidate will have the opportunity to and is expected to assist/grow into areas of strategic knowledge that will be key to maintaining and advancing the company’s competitive advantage. They will be tightly integrated with the leadership team in daily operational execution and long-term strategic knowledge development.
Responsibilities
- Collecting, organizing, structuring, and analyzing data
- Developing ad-hoc analysis and reporting in spreadsheets, SQL/Python based tools, BI tools
- Assisting senior Analytics members to achieve business goals
- Interfacing with other business units to understand analytical needs and deliver analyses/tools in response
- Supporting process improvement initiatives for critical business processes
- Partnering with data engineers to ensure smooth, efficient, resilient, and agile knowledge delivery pipelines
- Quickly learning technical topics and communicate limitations when encountered
- Navigating ambiguous situations with momentum necessary to overcome uncertainty
Who You Are
- BS in a technical or quantitative field
- 2 – 4 years of work experience in analytical/quantitative roles
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, particularly pivot tables, power pivot, data models
- Familiarity using SQL and/or a familiarity with Python/R for ad-hoc analysis
- Ability to troubleshoot data-related issues
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across different functional groups
- Experience and passion for metrics and dashboard visualizations like:
- Power BI
- TIBCO Spotfire
- Looker
- Tableau
- Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint and / or Google Slides
Note: Due to the proliferation of similarly capable business products today, skills in equivalent products are acceptable
Preferred
- Knowledge of the YouTube or Content Creator industry
