Job Description
As an ALSAC intern, you will learn from experts who have helped us become one of America’s top healthcare charities while supporting the life-saving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Our spring program offers a 10 week fully immersed experience. You will be assigned a day to day manager in your industry and our program manager will lead you with networking and professional development events.
- Start Date: January 27, 2023
- End Date: April 7, 2023
- Hours: 20 hours a week (Monday-Friday)
- Pay Rate: All ALSAC interns are paid. Pay rate is based on work location.
- Work Location: Headquarters Office in Memphis, TN or 100% Remote
Requirements
- A passion for our mission!
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and in good standing.
- Must be comfortable with Zoom and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Ability to work in a team environment but also work strong independently.
- Ability to be organized and detailed to balance several projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Specific Internship Description and Preferred Skills:
We’re seeking an intern to join the ALSACx Event Experiences team. Our team is focused on the unique experience of our supporters attending fundraising events as they navigate various technologies associated with the event. As of part of this team you will work across various projects to research and document specific event use cases and determine metrics for measuring success at various stages of the event. This role will collaborate across various teams within the organization and have the opportunity to help improve the overall event attendee experience for St. Jude supporters.
Responsibilities Include (but Not Limited To)
- Review and document event-specific metrics for key insights and learnings
- Review and summarize post-event surveys key insights and learnings
- Shadow/Participate in event attendee user interviews
Majors Preferred: Business, Marketing, Data Science/Analytics/Statistics, Hospitality
Skills Preferred: Strong Written and Verbal Communication, Critical Thinking, Data Analysis; Experience working with Excel, PowerPoint (Bonus: Mural & Tableau)
