We are looking to hire a Logistics Data Analyst to work in Des Plaines, IL. This position has flexible hours to include Part Time if you are currently in college or full-time hours if you are a recent college graduate and looking to kick start your career. This company is one of the largest freight forwarding / logistics companies in the United States and offers long term stability, competitive pay, and a great management team.
The Logistics Data Analyst identifies and resolves business issues and recommends operational improvements based on conclusions drawn from; analyzing data, generating reports; and formulating / testing hypotheses.
Position Details include.
- This role utilizes business knowledge, project management and consulting skills to collaborate with internal departments including, warehouse, logistics, IT, customer service and finance
- Analyze and identify issues related to business infrastructure
- Generate reports on various operational problems using statistical analysis
What do we need from you?
- Current or recent college graduate with a degree or pending degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and or Management Information Systems or IT
- Strong quantitative data analysis and critical thinking skills
- Advanced knowledge with MS Office with a heavy emphasis on Excel to include advanced experience using Pivot Tables and Vlookup
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Solid understanding of business practices with fundamental understanding of project management
- Willing and eager to learn and adjust to new challenges
- Extremely initiative-taking initiative-taker that anticipates next tasks before it is assigned
Pay Rate is $20.00 per hour – Part Time and Full Time Hours available – flexible schedule
