The Role Responsibilities
Strategy
- The ideal candidate will have experience in the latest techniques in Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision and Machine Learning and Deep Learning approaches.
- Experiences in real-time collaboration is a plus. We’re looking for someone with specialized knowledge and general skills.
Business
- Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment for AIML Model Validation.
Processes
- Carry out Model evaluations as per the requirements outlined in the Responsible AI standards and AI Testing Guidance.
- Conduct model assessment as per the requirements outlined in the Responsible AI standards, Procedures, and AI Testing Guidelines
- Provide effective challenge to the model design and construction and conduct incremental analysis and testing as necessary
- Identify model limitations and ensure the appropriate remediation actions are in place and monitored
- The assessment also requires writing a comprehensive validation report based on his / her judgment of the validation results
- Should be able innovate and solution model validation for cutting edge technology (eg., Federated learning, Reinforcement learning, Quantization)
People and Talent
- Manage the team in terms of project assignments and deadlines
- Manage a team dedicated for reviewing models related unstructured and structured data.
- Hire, nurture talent as required.
Risk Management
- Ownership of the delivery, highlighting various risks on a timely manner to the stakeholders.
- Identifying proper remediation plan for the risks with proper risk roadmap.
Governance
- Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key Stakeholders
- Responsible AI Council, AIML Delivery Team, AIML Product Team, AIML Model Improvement and Monitoring Team, Other stakeholders such as Regulators, etc relevant in a Banking environment.
Our Ideal Candidate
- The ideal candidate will have experience in the latest techniques in Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision and Machine Learning and Deep Learning approaches.
- Experiences in real-time collaboration is a plus. We’re looking for someone with specialized knowledge and general skills.
- 2 to 3 years in relevant experience in the Model Development / Model Validation.
