Data Engineer II – Cyber Fraud

What you’ll be doing:
- Monitor, maintain, and improve upon Department Data Warehouse
- Create new and modify existing automated ETL processes and data gathering functions
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to integrate new data sources of various types
- Assist data consumers in obtaining and utilizing available data
- Become liaison and primary contact for internal and external data teams
- Maintain strong organizational skills and follow best practices.
- Ability to adapt and innovate to keep our processes up to date with industry standards.
- Strong communication skills, team player
What you bring to the table:
- Familiarity working with various SQL DBMS systems. e.g. Snowflake, Postgres, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and modifying data models. e.g. creating tables, adding/removing columns, bulk updates, etc.
- Interest and ability to perform ad-hoc analysis
- Strong SQL skills with ability to write complex queries
- Ability to work with unstructured datatypes. e.g. JSON, XML
- Demonstrated ability to automate ETL and analytical processes on large datasets
- Background working with third party web APIs
- Working knowledge of Git repositories
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows server operating systems
- Knowledge of common ETL tools
- Alteryx, Talend, etc.
- Familiarity with ML pipelines
- Knowledge of Python programming language and capacity to interface with various data sources
- Knowledge of Django or Flask python web frameworks
- Background with Splunk
Qualifications :
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ relevant experience
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Experience with Graph and/or NoSQL DBMS systems and NoSQL query languages
- Experience developing and managing relational databases and data warehousing solutions
