The individual selected for this position will support the agency’s mission to Keep Washington Safe and Working as well as the five agency goals, with special emphasis on Goal 5, Ensure L&I is the employer of choice. As part of L&I’s Goal 5 engagement team efforts, you will aim to understand what employees need in order to be successful in their work, health and wellbeing, and design products, services, and resources that meet those needs and support leaders in doing the same. Serving as the portfolio coordinator for the Goal 5 engagement team, this role coordinates projects and operations, provides consultation, creates collaborative opportunities, analyzes data, and generates recommendations that enhance agency wide initiatives that foster a thriving workplace culture.
Some of what you’ll do:
- Provide analyst support and project management to multiple agency wide Goal 5 Projects such as those related to workplace flexibility, diversity/inclusion and wellness
- Coordinate projects and provide consultation on Goal Team 5 initiatives.
- Collect and analyze project requirements, design forecasting tools for future opportunities, and identify challenges/risks.
- Write talking points, memos, and reports as needed to summarize agency and external research. Present deliverables to leaders.
- Coordinate with the HR policy committee to identify policy updates and create new policies to align policy with strategic vision of the agency.
- Respond to, and coordinate, requests for data from internal stakeholders/customers.
- Manage and facilitate projects that affect programs within OHR.
- Assist in Business Transformation projects/initiatives that effect OHR.
- Partner with internal resources, such as Enterprise Change Readiness Office (ECRO; and its culture team), Wellness 360, Office of Continuous Improvement (OCI), and external resources to ensure successful implementation of project outcomes.
- Maintain and update the Goal 5 Webpage with fresh content by identifying opportunities and resources to include in the webpage.
- Design, coordinate and implement twice-annual Goal 5 Forum events.
- Coordinate the planning and implementation of the annual Employee Survey theme and communications.
- Lead teams that aim to improve or enhance agency processes and practices in ways that reinforce L&I’s culture and values.
REQUIRED:
-
A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, law, public health, health administration, or a related field and four years of experience in two or more of the following areas:
- conducting research
- analyzing policies, laws, rules, or regulations
- conducting business analysis and developing requirements
- leading business projects
- managing business operations
- business policy development
Years of experience may substitute 1-for-1 for years of education.
Required Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in using online collaboration tools (e.g. MS Teams, Zoom)
- Proficiency in a project management/facilitation/communication discipline(s), such as Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, Organizational Change Management, Communications, or related fields.
