The Data Governance Specialist Should Support the Day-to-Day activities within Data Governance Team supporting Data Stewards, Leads, Business Owners and IT Counterpart and Support Governance of Data Domains and Projects. Experience of 8 Plus years is preferred with relevant experience. The Role will be part of the Data Governance Team in Bangalore

What you will be responsible for
As Data Governance Specialist/Analyst – Manager/Officer you will
- Work closely with Data Steward Leads and Execute tasks related to Project releases, Foundational Governance, Open Lineage Acknowledgement.
- Work with the Data Steward to facilitate the completion of data lineage including application data flows, review of database schema, tables and data elements, key extracts and reports, leverage Data file extract and upload Data files within the Enterprise cataloging tool and perform Audit activities.
- Govern Data at Domain Level and Support Data Stewards with cataloging and certifying key data including business and technical data definitions, data flow, and location of data.
- Support the functional Data Stewards in driving Data Governance activities for their scope of responsibility, including the development and maintenance of project plans and regular communication with key stakeholders to track progress.
- Work with the functional Data Stewards to identify the System of record, Trusted Source of Distribution, presence of personal data and any Authoritative sources.
- Support Data Quality Management Work: Work towards Identifying Data Quality Parameters within applications and processes along with the Business Owners.
- Key Metrics: Work towards identifying Critical Data Elements and Application Lineage for Key Metrics reported to Risk Committees.
- Produce Data Governance Monthly metrics detailing overall status.
- Actively contribute to Monthly Newsletter content covering Data dimensions topic.
- Review Process Documents, SOPS and Job Aid Periodically
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and contribute as required.

- Excellent MS-Office – Excel (Write Macros in Excel), Word and Power Point
- Exposure to Data Governance and Data Quality tools – Collibra, Informatica, Manta, etc.,
- Basic understanding of Database
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent coordination and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Passionate about providing excellent service in a high performance, fast-paced work culture and a creative/Innovative mindset.
- Display Responsibility, Accountability, Ownership, Commitment and Professional Behavior is highly expected.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors BE/BCA and a master’s degree in MBA is required.
- 2 to 3 Plus years of relevant experience in a Data Governance role. Overall, 7 Plus years of experience
- Preference would be given to candidates working within the financial domain, Investment Banking Domain, Financial Products and Data Governance roles.
