Job Description
Stepan is seeking a Sr. SAP Business Analyst – Plan to Produce (PP/QM) to join our Global IT team (Remote). In this role, you will report to the Sr. Manager Business Solutions. This position will serve as both a hands-on analyst and internal consultant on best practices, configuration and usage of SAP within the Plan-to-Produce and Quality Management process areas.
- Business Process optimization: Evaluate information and system needs with functional line and executive personnel. Modify & Implement supply chain processes to support global logistics activities and improve service to the End Users by working closely with the Stepan SAP Team.
- Global SAP Support: Perform tactical and strategic support functions to meet the needs of the global community while supporting company goals and objectives. This includes monitors & resolve the SAP issues reported by the end users globally in SAP PP-PI and QM module.
- Assist in implementing strategy, analysis, and measurements to support SAP PP-PI & QM process utilize resources as appropriate, reduce cost and improve processes and efficiencies.
- Mentor and coach others to aid in competency growth in systems and processes: Work with members of the SAP IT department to ensure that processes are understood, and responsibilities are in place.
- Lead small projects related to Plan-to-Produce or Quality Management or lead the efforts specific to those areas within the context of larger projects with a global scope.
Qualifications
- 6-8 years’ experience in SAP with emphasis on the Plan to Produce module which covers SAP PP-PI & QM Modules.
- SAP PP-PI & QM implementation experience with Process (non-discrete) manufacturing (preferably in the Chemical industry).
- Experience in Data conversion, LSMW, SAP Query, RICEF, etc.
- Hands-on experience in Support projects.
- In-depth understanding of SAP PP-PI Configuration, Master Data, and Transaction data used in SAP PP-PI module.
- Good understanding of Inspection types, MIC, Batch Characteristics, Classes, Selected Set/Groups, Q Info-Records, Inspection Plan, Certificate Profile, etc.
- Good understanding of SAP QM processes associated with Receiving, In-Process, Final Inspection, Customer Returns, Source Inspection & Recursive Inspections.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT or a related field.
